The Maghreb in Protohistory

The Protohistory Africa in general, and Algeria in particular, is a transitional time period whose precise chronological limitations continue to elicit controversy among experts to this day due to a lack of clarity around them, and with this many researchers believe that it begins at the end of ancient periods and concludes with the emergence of the written document (3000 to 1100 years B.C). The most significant element of this historic period is the birth of a new and simple lifestyle of unprecedented funeral practices, particularly in the many and diverse funeral houses. It has extended across the country and has been subject to extensive research, along with residential buildings, pottery and metal tools, the practice of primitive rainfed agriculture, livestock farming, or what has been referred to as agricultural activities. These achievements show the progressive development of human intellect, which did not happen simultaneously until the discovery of writing, which started a new era of human history.
